Summer Meals across Alabama

Feeding Alabama is proud to support children and families during the summer through our Summer Meals Initiative, a 10-week program that helps ensure kids stay nourished when school is out.

This summer, Feeding Alabama will provide meals at 15 community partner sites across four counties in North and Central Alabama. These efforts are made possible through private funding and grant support, in partnership with trusted local organizations such as YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, and neighborhood-based groups.

To find a program in your community:

1.) Visit Feeding Alabama’s List of Food Banks.

Feeding Alabama partners with over 1,400 community agencies across the state to distribute groceries and pantry staples directly to families in need.

2.) Find a USDA Summer Meal Site Near You.

The USDA Summer Meal Program offers free, nutritious meals to all kids and teens under 18—no registration or paperwork required. Just stop by and enjoy a meal!

3.) Access Alabama SUN Bucks (Summer EBT)

Alabama SUN Bucks is a grocery benefits program designed to help families buy food during the summer when schools are closed. Eligible families will receive a one-time payment of $120 per school-age child to help cover grocery costs.
