Join the stroller parade and raise your voice for babies and their families.
Rolling Thunder invites all who advocate for young children to walk with them, pushing babies and toddlers in strollers to help bring awareness to the vital investments needed in programs for Alabama’s children from birth to age 3. There will be events for children and information for adults on helping young children thrive. Advocates will also deliver hand-made handprints from children all over the state to our state lawmakers.
Free Registration requested so they can plan enough supplies. Alabama State Capitol Front Steps and South Lawn. This is a rain or shine event.

- 09:50 a.m. – Gather on the Capitol Steps
- 10:00 a.m. – News Conference with Governor Kay Ivey on the Capitol Steps
- 10:20 a.m. – Strolling Thunder Parade (Around the Capitol)
- 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Strolling Thunder Expo | Lunch** | Children and Family Activities on the South Lawn, Handprint Package and Note Delivery to Alabama State House
- 2:00 p.m. – Conclude
**A boxed lunch will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies please bring your own sack lunch.
