FREEDOM DAY!
Students and families across West Alabama are invited to kick off the upcoming school year at the Freedom Day Back to School Bash, a free community event packed with school supplies, giveaways and resources.
Organizers will give away 500 backpacks filled with school supplies while supplies last. Students must be present to receive backpacks and other resources, and college students are also encouraged to attend.<
In addition to free school supplies, attendees can connect with community organizations, receive health and wellness information, and have a chance to win prizes including laptops, gas cards and grocery cards. Activities and entertainment for the entire family will also be available throughout the day. (PAL will be there!)
The Freedom Day Back to School Bash is free to attend and is designed to help students head into the new school year with the supplies, support and community resources they need for a successful start.
