EPIC Parenting Classes
The Effective Parenting Instruction Course (EPIC) is a FREE 6-week parenting class that uses the Active Parenting curriculum. These courses were designed by Dr. Michael H. Popkin and the model is largely based upon the theories of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs.
Classes are designed to help strengthen each participant’s parenting by providing skills training. EPIC encourages a democratic parenting style by providing children choices and fostering responsibility, improving communication between parent and child, and helping children learn through natural and logical consequences. The classes are available in English and Spanish. Certificate awarded upon completion of all classes.
