Decatur Public Library StoryWalks Celebrate the 2024 Festival of Cranes
The Decatur Public Library has installed TWO StoryWalks this season!
Delano Park: The book Song for the Whooping Crane, written by Eileen Spinelli and illustrated by Elsa Warnick, is posted on the walking trail. Begin at the intersection of 8th Avenue & Prospect Drive. All ages can enjoy this beautiful book, while getting some exercise in beautiful Delano Park.
Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge: The book Lotus & Feather written by Ji-li Jiang and illustrated by Julie Downing, is displayed on the Atkeson Cypress Trail (located behind the Visitor Center) for all ages to enjoy while taking in the wonder of Sandhill cranes and the endangered Whooping Crane if you are lucky.
