Celebrate Haleyville’s role in making the first 911 call
The Haleyville Area Chamber of Commerce and the town come together each year to host a two-day festival to celebrate the town’s role in making the first 911 call and to honor law enforcement and emergency personnel. Set for June 5-6, 2026, the 9-1-1 Festival offers live music, activities for kids, street vendors, a parade, an antique tractor show, and more.
Activities begin Friday at 3 p.m. with arts and crafts and food vendors filling the streets of the downtown area. At 5 p.m. the free 12 & under Kids Zone opens and the huge music stage sounds off with a free live concert that includes many nationally known recording artist acts.
On Saturday, June 6, the festivities begin at 8 a.m. with a classic car show, antique tractor show, arts and crafts, and food vendors. The annual Haleyville Alumni and First Responders Parade gets underway at 10 a.m. A Cornhole Tournament with cash prizes, as well as a variety of activities including more Kids Zone fun and free entertainment on the Main Street Music Stage is also on Saturday.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
