Vestavia Hills Dogwood Festival
The Vestavia Hills Dogwood Festival is the longest running festival in the state – celebrating 61 years in 2025! It is comprised of multiple events taking place city-wide, including Wing Ding, Heights Hangout, Dogwood Days, Battle of the Bands and so much more … there is something for everyone!

2: Dogwood Luncheon

Fashion show and silent auction
4 & 5: Hunt the Heights
Cahaba Heights Business District, 10am-5pm; Open to public
Easter eggs – filled with coupons, candy and goodies – will be hidden in participating Cahaba Heights businesses! Every egg has a prize inside!!
5: Mini Masters
Scout Square (Highway 31), 9am; Registration required
18-hole mini golf course tournament
10: Liberty Park Farmer’s Market
Liberty Park Great Lawn, 4-7 pm; Open to public
Join the party and enjoy music, food trucks and fun for all! While you’re there, explore everything Liberty Park has to offer – new construction, boutique shopping, new shops, multiple restaurants and more!
10: VH Arts Council Spring Fling
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5:30-7pm
Family-friendly night of fun featuring live music, sips & snacks and a silent auction
10 & 11: Hunt Liberty Park
Liberty Park Businesses; Open to public
Participating Liberty Park businesses will hide eggs filled with candy, coupons or prizes in their business on April 10 and 11.
12: VHHS RISE Day
Vestavia Hills High School, 4-10pm; Open to public
Admission is FREE to this family-friendly, community-wide festival celebrating the culmination of the VHHS RISE fundraising activities. This inspirational event features food, games, live music by student bands and a luminary ceremony honoring those who have battled against cancer.
18: Easter Extravaganza
Wald Park, 11am-1pm; Open to public
Hunt eggs, visit with the big bunny, play games, eat snacks and pet cute animals! Egg drop begins promptly at 11:05am, so don’t miss the it! All ages. Hosted by the Library in the Forest.
19: Cookie Fix Cookie Crusher 5K & Dash
The Heights Village, 8am (5K) & 9:30am (Dash); Registration required
Benefitting Magic Moments – a sweet race for a magical cause!
19: Battle of the Bands
Rocky Ridge Plaza, 5-9pm; Open to public
Rocky Ridge Entertainment district will host the 6th annual Battle of the Bands competition at Rocky Ridge Plaza. This live music competition features bands from area middle schools and high schools competing for prize money.
26: Wing Ding
Vestavia Hills City Hall Lawn, 4-7pm; Tickets at the gate
Join Leadership Vestavia Hills for a day of fun competition where we put our local chefs to the test. Visitors will enjoy great chicken wings, live music and a children’s area full of games and activities.
27: Heights Hangout
The Heights Village, 2-7pm; Tickets at the gate
Enjoy live music, a kid’s zone, pop-up shops, sponsor booths and more. Proceeds benefit the ongoing Beautification of Cahaba Heights through the Cahaba Heights Merchants Association.
