Tuscaloosa Christmas Afloat
Get in the holiday spirit with a festive lighted-boat parade followed by a fireworks show. Tuscaloosa Afloat takes place, Saturday, December 14 along the Black Warrior River from the Woolsey Finnell Bridge (McFarland-Hwy 82) to the Mercedes Benz Amphitheater.
Great for families and kids of all ages!

Remember
- Dress Warmly: Temperatures will be in the 40’s, perhaps the 30’s, and children should have warm shoes, jackets, scarves, knit caps and gloves.
- Beware of heavy traffic.

Parade Route
Christmas Afloat begins at Riverview Boat Landing, proceeds downstream along the south bank, passing The Park at Manderson Landing, Tuscaloosa Riverwalk, the River Market, downtown Tuscaloosa, and slightly past the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
The parade then turns around and proceeds along the north bank repeating its course upriver, toward the Cypress Inn.
Best Places to Watch
From South Bank of the River: The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater Area, the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk, the River/Farmer’s Market, the Park at Manderson Landing near Univ. of Alabama. Watch for a press release from The Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation about where to park.
From North Bank of the River: The Cypress Inn Restaurant, the Northport Levee Area (The Levee Restaurant/Dreamland BBQ Area), the Northport Levee “Old Gin Property Area” close to Downtown Northport. Private neighborhoods and businesses between the Cypress Inn and Northport will host private parties and viewing may be restricted on private property.
