Safe Kids Free Car Seats for those who qualify
Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue announced that Safe Kids Tuscaloosa will be providing free car seats to those who qualify on Jan. 29. Those wishing to receive a car seat must schedule an appointment by calling (205) 469-1234 as as soon as possible. Phones are answered between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
Children receiving some type of public assistance from the state are eligible for one free seat in their lifetime. This can be validated through showing a Medicaid card or letter, food stamps, WIC and All Kids Insurance. See the flyer below for more details.
