23rd annual African Heritage Festival
This annual event, hosted by the North Alabama African Heritage Association, celebrates the rich traditions and vibrant cultures of Africa with activities for all ages.
The highlight of the weekend is the fashion show on Saturday, showcasing the evolution and diversity of African fashion. From traditional attire to contemporary designs, this show promises a visual feast and celebration of African culture.
The festival’s music scene is equally compelling, featuring a mix of gospel, reggae, blues, and R&B. The Midnighters will be performing, bringing their beloved sound to the diverse musical lineup.
Beyond the stage, the festival grounds will be filled with vendors offering a selection of African crafts, books, and more. Food stands will provide a taste of Africa.
Admission to the festivals is free, making it a perfect opportunity for families and individuals to explore and celebrate African culture together.
