56th Fayette Arts Festival
Sponsored by the Fayette Art Museum, the festival provides a backdrop to juried, handmade fine art, folk art and crafts along with free children’s art activities sponsored by local businesses.
Food trucks and/or vendors promise everything from fried fish, BBQ, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and cold treats just to name a few. Plan to come down to the Civic Center/Art Museum to have lunch and a special snack at the Fayette Arts Festival.
New to this year’s Arts Festival will be a book signing by Irene Latham. She has written and published a children’s book, The Whimsical World of Lois Wilson – Transforming Trash into Art about Fayette’s own Lois Wilson. Plus, the documentary Treasures from the Rubble by Alexandria Branyon will be shown in the auditorium for anyone to watch and learn a little more about Lois Wilson who helped Mr. Jack Black start the Fayette Art Museum by donating some of her prized art collection and personal-created pieces.
