A FREE service of Child Development Resources at the University of Alabama, the Parent Resource Library (PRL) has a wide variety of resources designed to support community families in parenting their young children.
Available for Check-out:
- Parent Child Activity Kits: Theme based, age-appropriate books, toys & activities for parents & children to enjoy together.
- Read to Me Totes: Designed to specifically encourage reading and bonding with your child.
- Children’s Books: many related to difficult issues children may face such as fears, a new sibling, death of a family member or pet, separation.
- Parenting Books and DVDs
- Information and Brochures around topics such as Positive Discipline, Potty Training, Importance of Routines, Developmental Checklists and much more
During open hours, PRL is open for check-outs and free play. It is best to call and make an appointment at (205) 348-2232.
