Please join the City of Madison and the Madison Station Historic Preservation Society to kick off the 2024 Holiday Season. You’re invited to be a part of the 11th Annual Madison Station Polar Express Christmas on Main and Wassail Festival.
Polar Express Christmas on Main
Enjoy the grand opening of the Polar Express Christmas Tree Trail on Friday, December 6. The official lighting of all trees by Mayor Paul Finley will take place at 6 p.m., and will accompanied by:
- Visit Santa in the Snow Globe by City of Madison
- Children’s Glowstick Parade and Letters to Santa by the Madison Chamber of Commerce
- Music provided by the Madison Community Orchestra
- Reading of the Polar Express by the Madison Public Library
- Snowflake Alley on Garner Street by Children’s Madison Visionary Partners
- Hot Chocolate and Cookies by the Rotary Club of Madison
- Caroling by Madison City Schools
Madison Wassail Fest
The third annual Madison Wassail Fest will immediately follow the lighting of Polar Express Christmas Tree Trail. Enjoy samples of the downtown merchants’ best wassail recipes, vote for the best tasting blend, register for door prizes and support the downtown businesses by shopping for Christmas gifts.
Trees will be displayed along Main Street in beautiful, historic downtown Madison from Friday, December 6 through Thursday, January 2, 2025.
