39th Alabama Renaissance Feast & Faire
Designated as one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast
More than 35 thousand visitors visit Florence annually for the Alabama Renaissance Feast & Faire to enjoy a Renaissance-themed extravaganza featuring performances, costume, food, vendors, and a bit of Renaissance magic.
The time period for the Faire is 1100 to 1650, which covers both the Medieval and Renaissance eras of Europe. Expect to see sword fighters, Renaissance dancers, minstrels and troubadours, belly dancers, musicians, singers, jugglers, and magicians.
Crafts include handmade baskets, handcrafted chain mail, home-made soap, and hand-thrown pottery. There will be vendors who provide a broad selection of garb, weaponry, books, jewelry, and specialty items to fit any budget.
Join the fun with a bit of Maypole dancing, scavenger hunting, fortune telling, and feasting and merriment.
