Museum Day at the USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park
Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket
The USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park invites you to join them for Museum Day!
Aboard the battleship you will be able to explore 12 decks. You can climb inside gun turrets, get locked in the Brig, man a 12mm gun and much more. Don’t miss the hologram in the Divers exhibit and see how the divers worked to check the ship’s hull after battle engagements. Don’t miss the Crewmen’s Room. Learn about the ship’s baseball team, boxing team, orchestra, photographers and daily life at sea, and much more.
Also while visiting the park you will be able to go below and explore inside one of the oldest US submarine on display, the USS DRUM.
Two free Tickets will be issued through Smithsonian Magazine’s website. To participate, download your free ticket for September 17.
