Join a discussion on Enabling and Boundaries with Stephanie Galbreath, UAB Department of Psychiatry, Beacon Recovery
This is the third out of 8 support series for parents learning to navigate Substance Abuse Disorder. Please register for this free event through the Addiction Prevention Coalition.
You are invited to a discussion on the impact of enabling and codependency on your substance-using loved one and tools to improve communication while setting healthy boundaries. Enabling and boundaries are complex topics that take wisdom and courage to discern, which will be discussed.
The first half of the webinar will be the education portion covering many aspects of enabling and boundary setting. During the second half, Stephanie has invited a peer support specialist (person in long term recovery) to join the webinar. During this portion, the peer will share her story and include conversation about her own family’s enabling behaviors that allowed her to continue her use.
