No family is the same… and although each family is unique, there are some situations that add a completely different dimension to our parenting. Stepparents, single parents, grandparents as parents, or parents raising a special needs child face distinct challenges. A network of support and feeling supported by others becomes especially important.

This section offers ideas and tips for parents who may find themselves in one of these situations, and is looking for ways to better manage.

PAL wants to encourage and support you in becoming a more confident parent. Let's face it…when babies are born, they don't come with "instructions!" With today's stresses and problems we all just need a little help. PAL is designed to provide helpful assistance and information to moms, dads, grandparents, and relatives whose children are ages birth through adolescence.
